Este mezcal lo hace don Gerardo Blas Santiago, en Santiago Matatlán. Con horno de leña, tahona de piedra y destilación en olla de barro. No es artesanal porque lo digamos. Es artesanal porque así se hace.

Origen del mezcal

Nuestro mezcal viene de Santiago Matatlán, en los Valles Centrales de Oaxaca. No de "Oaxaca en general". De Matatlán: tierra de mezcaleros, hornos de piedra volcánica y agaves que crecen entre encinos y nopales. Cada lote viene de: Agaves de la región (cultivados y silvestres) Productores que conocemos por nombre. Destilación artesanal en alambiques de cobre El origen no es un dato decorativo. Es el contexto que explica por qué este mezcal sabe como sabe.
